Laserinduktionsgeschweißte Antriebswelle mit einsatzgehärteter Verzahnung

The Federal Ministry for Education and Research promotes the “Realization of Marketing Activities for the Target Region Central, East and South-east Europe” of the “Strategy for the Internationalization of Science and Research” for R&D networks and research clusters in the context of the initiative “Promotion of Innovation made in Germany” 

Optical technologies, in particular laser technology for materials processing, belong to the topical fields of the “High-Tech Strategy of the Federal Government”.

Cooperation

The Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology (IWS) and the Institute of Mechanical and Plant Engineering Chemnitz e.V. (ICM) cooperate in the  network „Optical Technologies for Energy Efficiency in Manufacturing and Product Design“ in Poland and the Czech Republic. The activities are managed by the IWS (Poland) and by the ICM (the Czech Republic).

The research marketing project is funded  by the BMBF for the time from September 2009 to August 2010. Subsequently internal financing will  be aimed at.
